The UCV PRISAA Committee led by National PRISAA and UCV President Dr. Esther Susan N. Perez-Mari held a National Press Conference for the National PRISAA Games 2025 today, April 2, 2025, at the CVP Building, VVP Campus. In her welcome remarks, Dr. Perez-Mari expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the Cagayan Provincial Government, Tuguegarao City Government, and all partner agencies including the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), Philippine National Police (PNP), Incident Management Team (IMT), and media partners. “As the National PRISAA Games 2025 takes center stage in Tuguegarao City Cagayan, it carries its weight, the history, the spirit of champions, and the promise of a new era in Philippine Athletics…where passion meets purpose, dreams take flight, and future Olympians arise,” Dr. Perez-Mari emphasized. Atty. Maria Rosario Mamba-Villaflor representing Gov. Manuel N. Mamba, on the other hand, reassured the public of the province’s readiness for the event. “Handang-handa po ang provincial government para sa National PRISAA Games 2025. We’ve been preparing for this….Improvements in all our facilities na magagamit for all the games and all other preparations that have been requested by Dr. Perez-Mari and the PRISAA Organization. We hope that this is the very opportunity for us to show our capabilities in handling major events,” she said. EnP. Jenifer Junio-Baquiran from the Cagayan Tourism Office provided, too, an update, ensuring that they are prepared to welcome tourists. She also highlighted the trade fair at SM City and Cagayan Sports Complex, where local products will be showcased and sold. Meanwhile, Police Lieutenant Darwin Urani assured that security measures are in place. “The PNP will be on full alert and our priority is the security of all athletes from the whole Philippines,” he said. Present, too, in the press conference were Mayor Maila Rosario S. Ting-Que, PMAJ Jojo Turingan, Mr. Felimar Dulin, and Mr. Marlon B. Maruzzo from PSSO/TMG, Cagayan DRRMO-H Manager Mr. Robert Umoso Jr., and Mr. Xernan Wandagan, and representatives from media agencies.
